Respite Care

Respite care means taking a break from caring, while the person cared for is looked after by someone else.

Our respite care services are designed to give carers a break from their caring role, either to attend to their other commitments, or to attend to their own needs including the carer needing to be hospitalised or simply to take a break or go on holiday.

Our service can be provided in a number of forms. Someone could come in on a regular basis to look after the person who is cared for or take them out to an activity group or day centre, or the carer lives-in for the duration of the respite care.

The service is provided in the comfort of the environment already familiar to one being cared for.
